I can wholeheartedly second that comment. Nicholas deserves all the praise he gets for his work on Profgrid. I cannot think of any other Delphi component that is as useful or well supported as this one for the investment you have to make. I've said before, and it is worth repeating, ProfGrid never ceases to amaze me and I am always finding new and more complex things that you can do with it. And another good thing is the speed. A lot of the time decent complex components can be hampered by speed issues. I don't think that can be said about Profgrid!

Actually, a funny thing has happened to me this week. I have been a Delphi developer for 20 years. Completely out of the blue, an old collegeaue has offered me a job on some serious (!) money. The problem? It is a Visual Basic, C# and ASP role - all languages I would have to learn in depth. He was a bit flippant about Delphi, I don't think he saw it as WIN32 development contender. So I showed him some work I'd done. He saw Profgrid in operation and wanted to know what it was- "impressive that" was his comment. So I told him..... his comments were "there's nothing like that for VB". But the role is definitely non-Delphi though. But here's the thing..... in the back of mind I wonder how on earth I would ever reproduce in VB etc what I produce in Delphi without the likes of Profgrid, the JEDI set and LMD components.

I don't know what to do!!!!!!!!!! The money would come in handy..... but can I live all my Delphi component "friends" behind?! :-)
