ProfGrid and Delphi 2009
Hi,

Will ProfGrid work 100% correctly with the new Delphi 2009 now that the VCL in this version is fully unicode and therefore all string types are by default unicode?

Since my app really needs ProfGrid I won't be able to upgrade to D2009 unless is works without any problems.

Thanks in advance.

Best regards,

Fons

Probably not. All string handling in ProfGrid unit need to be thoroughly checked and probably changed and tested after conversion.

Since my app really needs ProfGrid I won't be able to upgrade to D2009 unless is works without any problems.

We shall require some time to test our code with the final RTM of the compiler, once we get it. We are not ready yet, please wait for the official announcement from us when we are ready, we can't really set a definite date yet. Although Embarcadero announced Delphi 2009 and C++Builder 2009 the other day, they explicitly refrained from saying anything about when they would be shipped.

Okay, understood. Just wanted to know IF there will be a D2009 compatible version. Please do not rush it... I rather wait for a good product than a rushed bad product.

Thanks.
