Evaluating the demo (HTMLEdit.exe)
Hello,

Sorry for sending my questions to the wrong newsgroup previously. I''l place my questions in the profgrid.htmledit.presale instead.

As I explained I've downloaded the demo and it works nicely for editing new html-files. On trying some more complex tasks, things appeared not to be that trivial.

I tried to view and edit the content of common webpage like www.cnn.com for
example. I've saved the webpage on disk with the Internet Explorer, and
opened the html-file with HTMLEdit.exe. Unfortunately it didn't look quite
the same. Editing didn't seem to fully function as well. Entering text and
drag and drop of objects worked, but adjusting the font didn't.

You've already explained that style-sheets caused the editting limitation. Since style-sheets are rather common, it would be a nice enhancement if DHtmlEdit would support applying and/or modifying the stylesheet as well? Perhaps something like MsWord does with the different styles? I'm curious on your opinion here.

The rendering-differences are probably caused by the usage of multiple frames. In DHTMLedit it seems like I only see one frame. Is there some good reason/solution for this?

This is supported. See:

The only solution for previewing such files is using the Browse mode. In Browse mode, the control displays the document in a manner similar to the way it is displayed in the browser.
